Arts and Crafts at Manchester Cathedral

This weekend (well Friday and Saturday to be accurate) I had the pleasure of having a stall at the beautiful Manchester Cathedral.
I was lucky enough to be under this beautiful rainbow window and met some lovely people.  Missing my stall buddies now though.  Love you ladies!

Bring the Outside, In.

Bringing the outside in. Lovely purple scabious from my garden and little vases.  I always think of these flowers as pin cushion flowers, and the bees love them!

Bridge detail from a lovely trip to Todmorden with Mamma Magpie.

Todmorden has some lovely industrial and Victorian architecture. Each visit, it's always lovely to see what has changed and what has stayed the same.

Lucky Dips for Jewellery Lovers

I love putting together the little suprises in these lucky dip bags.  Each little bag of suprise goodies includes 3 items, one of which will always be a necklace. The rest might be made up of brooches, earrings, bracelets...ooh how exciting!

Final Touches for the Etsy Manchester Creative Wedding Fair

It's set up day at the beautiful Whitworth Art Gallery in preparation for the Creative Wedding Fair.  It's hosted by the Etsy Manchester team and they've been so enthusiastic about everything, it's made me really excited!  It's my first Wedding Fair and I'm so glad to be doing it with such lovely people.

Before I loaded all my goodies into taxi I popped into my familiar Northern Quarter to treat myself to some beautiful froth.

See you tomorrow?

Signs of Spring

This morning was a beautiful Spring morning, still a chill in the air, but beautiful sunshine.  The signs of the season are everywhere.

Some of my signs of Spring:

Sunny mornings
Pegging washing on the line
Crocuses and daffodils in the garden
Switching to earl grey for my tea
Being suddenly drawn to anything yellow
Opening windows
Spying blossom buds on the trees

What are some of yours?

Vintage Paper Supplies

The postman brought me some vintage goodies!

I love the details on this vintage graph paper: teeny tiny lines, rounded edges and lovely ink colour.
From Present and Correct
These super fun postcard sets fold out, so you get to send several images with one stamp.  So clever.

I'm looking forward to using these in my little collages and collage packs...though I mind end up keeping a few bits for myself.
